I collaborated with the musical duo Amar Sandhu and Pranna to direct their music video for the hit song “Replaceable.” Executive produced by Crowne Entertainment, it’s the 4th video single from the pair’s debut album “New Era.”
It was my first time directing a music video and I was really nervous. We did a lot of planning and pre-production to determine what kind of look and feel these guys wanted to go for.
With bottles and balloons strewn across the floor, the opening scene finds us in the aftermath of an epic club party. There’s an endless stream of girls coming and going as Sandhu’s verses take us on a lyrical journey about the replaceable nature of love. The trap-infused single is a classic mix of Sandhu and Pranna’s unique urban Asian style alongside a featured verse from Toronto-based rapper Fateh.
With over 200K views and counting, these guys have a growing fanbase and all their hard work will definitely pay off
We shot this video on a Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera, edited it on Adobe Premiere, and colour grading was done in Da Vinci Resolve. Also used Adobe After Effects for motion graphics work.
